In his range review on Greyhive, GoldenWebb called it \"the pinnacle of production 1911s that aren't custom\" — and the COA footprint is the single feature separating it from every other TRP on the shelf. GoldenWebb has reviewed the standard TRP on his channel previously, which gives this review a useful baseline: he already knew what a TRP trigger, slide fit, and grip texture feel like. The question he set out to answer here is narrower and more practical — does the factory-cut Aimpoint COA actually improve the gun, or is it a premium charged for a milling operation? Across live fire at 25 yards, steel work on a Double Tap Industries Texas Star, and a hands-on component walkthrough shot in light rain, his verdict was unambiguous: \"He gets my approval 100%.\" Key Takeaways The Aimpoint COA is milled and installed at the Springfield factory — not a plate-mounted aftermarket optic — and the cut preserves co-witness with the black iron sights. GoldenWebb described the trigger as breaking \"just like glass breaks,\" calling it \"one of the best descents on a production 1911, if not the best I've seen.\" Zero perceptible play in the slide, thumb safety, or trigger — he rates build quality on par with Dan Wesson.
