As a creator, I had the opportunity to meet fellow content creators, connect with brands I’ve worked with for years, and put faces to names behind countless emails, DMs, and phone calls. More importantly, I got to experience firsthand what the 2A community is actually like when you get everyone together in one place. From the creator appreciation dinner to the main event itself, everything was organized, professional, and genuinely enjoyable. Whether you were a creator, industry professional, or a member of the public attending the show, there was something for everyone. One of the biggest takeaways for me was how approachable everyone was. From established creators with massive audiences to newer creators just getting started, nobody acted like they were above having a conversation. I had the chance to meet creators like Tactical Considerations, Short Shot Tony, Stay Ready Sis, TK King, Heavy Metal Lifestyle, Armchair Operator, GT Tactics, XTech Tactical, Double Tap Coalition, and many others. I also had some great conversations with brands, including several new partnerships and collaborations that are already in the works. A special shoutout goes to Buck Holsters. They surprised me with a custom Kourtni Shoots holster and quickly became one of the standout brands of the event. Their ability to accommodate unique firearm, optic, and weapon light combinations is something I’ll be covering in a future review once I’ve had more time with the holster. Another shoutout goes to Double Tap Coalition. Every time I saw him, he was introducing creators to one another, making connections, and helping people network without expecting anything in return. That kind of community-building mindset is something I greatly appreciate and believe helps grow the entire industry. Unfortunately, I wasn’t able to attend Range Day, but between the Creator Appreciation Dinner and the main event, I left with an overwhelmingly positive impression of GunCon and the people behind it. Huge thank you to John and the entire GunCon team for putting together such a great event. And most importantly… John’s mom. ⸻ If you attended GunCon 2026, what was your favorite part of the event? #GunCon2026 #GunCon #2ACommunity #Firearms #KourtniShoots 00:00 Intro & First Impressions 00:24 Was GunCon Worth Attending? 00:45 Meeting My Favorite 2A Creators 01:20 The Best Part of the 2A Community 01:57 Networking With Brands as a Creator 02:28 Standout Brand: Buck Holsters 03:45 Why I’ll Be Back for GunCon 2027 04:00 Standout Creator: Double Tap Coalition 04:32 Why Gatekeeping Hurts the Creator Space 05:11 Final Thoughts on GunCon 2026 05:28 Thank You to the GunCon Team (and John’s Mom) SOCIALS INSTAGRAM : @kourtnishoots YOUTUBE: https://www.youtube.com/@kourtnishoots My Gear: 📸My Main Camera : https://tinyurl.com/KourtniMainCamera 🎥My Osmo Pocket 3: https://tinyurl.com/KourtniOsmoPocket3 🎤My Audio: https://tinyurl.com/KourtniAudio 💡My Lighting: https://tinyurl.com/KourtniLighting 🔭My Mounts & Tripods: https://tinyurl.com/KourtniMountsAndTripods 🔋My EDC: https://tinyurl.com/KourtniEDC 🖥️My Desk Essentials: https://tinyurl.com/KourtniDeskEssentials ⏲️My Kitchen Essentials: https://tinyurl.com/KourtniKitchenEssentials This description contains affiliate links.
