In this video, we put the PsychWard Labs Hammer Brake through its first real round of testing on both a 5.56 AR-15 and 7.62x39 AK. We compare the exact same firearms with the Hammer installed versus no muzzle device, look at the recoil and muzzle movement in slow motion, and test the Hammer as a suppressor host across multiple setups. The results were extremely encouraging. On the AR-15, the Hammer made a massive difference in both felt recoil and muzzle movement. The AK obviously has more going on with 7.62x39, but the reduction in recoil and muzzle flip was noticeable both behind the gun and in the slow-motion footage. We also tested the Plan B suppressor mounting system with multiple suppressors on both platforms with no reliability issues, end cap strikes, or alignment issues, and the exterior threads stayed surprisingly clean throughout the suppressed testing.
