I was figuring the whole system out in real time—and about five minutes later, my staged mags were loaded and ready to go. This isn’t just a little loader you throw on one magazine. The MagZip lets you prep multiple Zips, stage several magazines and build a loading workflow you can set up before you even get to the range. In this video I’m unboxing it, putting everything together for the first time, trying it with a mix of fresh and older magazines, loading everything up and then putting those mags to use. Is loading magazines the biggest problem in the world? Definitely not 😂. But if you shoot a lot of .223/5.56 or 300 Blackout, anything that makes the part between shooting easier starts making a whole lot more sense. The other part I didn’t really appreciate until I had it in front of me is how much of a range-prep system this can become. The case itself gives you room for ammo, the Zips can be staged ahead of time, and once you’re set up you can move through multiple magazines without starting the process over from scratch every time. By the end of my first range session with it, I already knew this was something I’d be bringing back out whenever my rifles come with me.
