Don’t miss out on this honest look at the biggest event of the year!

The summer heat is turning UP, and momentum at Fusion Firearms has hit full throttle. From game-changing platform rollouts to massive Custom Shop expansions, July is stacked with fresh hardware, next-level tech, and heavy-hitting announcements.

Here is what is dropping, shipping, and driving the hype this month:

What’s Hot This July

• The XP 3C™ Is Here: The wait is officially over. The all-new XP 3C—our 3-inch, all-steel double-stack carry 1911 that feeds off Glock® 19 pattern magazines—is shipping out! Classic 1911 single-action trigger precision meets real-world EDC capacity.
• XP COMP™ & Ported Restocks: Flatter shooting, zero threads needed. Demand for our pin-compensated XP COMP and precision-ported models blew through the roof, and the team is shipping fresh batches as fast as the shop can tune them.
• Next-Level PVD Finishes: We’ve overhauled our in-house finishing process with new prep tech. Expect rich Bronze, hard-coat PVD, and durable custom colorways rolling off the bench with higher consistency and faster turnaround times.
• Factory Expansion & New Labs: We aren't just building guns—we're expanding the forge. Our newly integrated Laser Lab, Accuracy Testing Facility, and expanded Custom Shop engineering benches are live to accelerate product development.

"Many improvement came directly from customer input. We tested, iterated, and pushed until we had something that truly met the needs of the modern shooter."
— Bob Serva, Founder

After our previous PVD vendor retired, we tested three other coaters and none could deliver the consistency our customers expect. Rather than compromise, we acquired the equipment and brought on the chemist who originally developed our finishes. In this video, you'll learn:
What PVD actually is — and why it's one of the toughest, hardest firearm finishes available (up to 92 Rockwell on tungsten coatings)

The science behind the process — vacuum chambers, line-of-sight deposition, vapor physics, and why cleanliness matters as much as chemistry
Why most PVD vendors struggle with firearms — running drill bits, bearings, and auto parts in the same tanks creates contamination that ruins aesthetic quality
How we achieve our signature colors — bronze, gold, blue, purple tiger, and our custom multi-strike processes

Our complete finish stack — Tennifer base treatment, PVD coating, laser engraving, and protective clear coat for maximum durability
A tour of the new equipment — including the rotating fixture system, ultrasonic cleaning bath, and vacuum chamber that sets us apart from standard coaters
We also address back-order delays from late November and explain the capital investment we made to ensure every Fusion firearm meets the visual and performance standards our customers deserve.
Featured products with PVD finishes: XP Pro double-stack 1911, XF Pro striker-fired pistol, custom shop variants, and exclusive Fusion Vault releases.

This pistol is still in development and will be previewed at SHOT Show, representing a near-final revision—but not the final word. From grip texture and ergonomics to magwell design and slide/frame texturing, Bob explains how customer feedback, extensive 3D-printed prototypes, and continuous testing have shaped where the 3" XP Pro is today.

Rather than building a single firearm, Fusion Firearms is focused on building a modular, scalable platform—one that will continue to evolve alongside larger XP models and future product lines. Multiple grip iterations, real-world test teams, and daily collaboration with manufacturing partners have all played a role in refining this compact pistol.

Bob also emphasizes how important hands-on, face-to-face feedback is to the development process. If you’re attending SHOT Show, Fusion Firearms invites you to stop by, handle the new 3" XP Pro, and share your thoughts as the final details are locked in.
