Today I cover a widely debated topic: Should you use the slide release when performing an emergency reload on your handgun? Does using the slide release require a fine motor skill that could fail you? Old outdated coaching says that you will not be able to use the slide release if your hands are wet, bloody or sweaty. To test this theory I apply several different lubricants to my Glock to see if it hinders my ability.
