The question nobody had answered: how much gunfire can the heating core actually absorb before it quits? Tactical Advisor put a production-model CMTech target on the range and ran it hard — not with careful, center-mass hits, but by deliberately hammering the adhesive edge and the corners where the heating element lives. The verdict: over 90 rounds through the heating core before the thermal signature started to degrade , with roughly 130 total rounds counted by the end of the session. That matters because this isn't the first version he's tested. Tactical Advisor ran CMTech's preliminary prototypes in an earlier video — he's on the production box now — so this test is a direct before-and-after on a product that went from concept to retail shelf at around $200 per target. Key Takeaways The heating element survived 90+ rounds of direct hits before the thermal signature began fading; roughly 130 rounds total were counted by the end of the session. The core stayed hot around the entire perimeter — no single segment blew out and killed the rest of the element.…
